Whether this is your first time in a kayak, or a seasoned veteran, we invite all skill levels to enjoy the beautiful Black Canyon! The crystal clear water of the Colorado River is quite tame in this area, since you will be paddling between two dams. However, we do ask that you consider your athletic ability on the full-day tour, because this will be a very active 12-mile paddle without a downstream current to assist you and often against the prevailing upstream winds.
Let us take you on a full-day journey down the beautiful Colorado River. Our complimentary shuttle service will pick you up at one of the selected Las Vegas Strip hotels, and transport you to the launch site in one of our Mercedes Sprinters. Be one of the very few that can say that they launched at the base of the mighty Hoover Dam. Your knowledgeable guide will start you on your paddle down the Black Canyon, stopping and pointing out numerous historical artifacts that are nearing 100 years old.
After your first 4 miles of paddling you are treated to amazing, naturally occurring 100 degree hot spring pools, where you can relax before heading back to the beach for some snacks to fuel you for the next part of the journey.
On your way down river to lunch beach, make sure you keep an eye out for the legendary Big Horn Sheep, and all the other critters that the desert has to offer. We will finish our day with a quick visit into Emerald Cave, before ending our day at Willow Beach where the shuttle will be waiting to take you back to into Las Vegas.

There is a 72 hour cancellation policy on this booking. You can cancel prior to 3 days in advance of the booking and receive a refund minus permit cost of $40 per person. Please contact us via email at contact@cobaltescapes.com to cancel/modify your reservation. You can also contact us directly at +1 928-649-3090 and speak with our reservations department. If you cancel within 3 days of activity you will forfeit the full amount paid.
Due to the unforeseen nature of adventure travel, we highly recommend purchasing a separate trip insurance policy. A policy will refund your costs if you need to cancel the trip for medical emergencies, family illness/death, work related cancellation or trip interruption. The policy also has great features such as medical evacuation and other medical related benefits NOT covered by most individual health plans. We can assist in obtaining travel insurance.
